2016 Ashcroft Plein Air Paint Out

As always, we offer unparalleled scenery to paint in a non-competitive and congenial atmosphere where highly experienced as well as brand new artists are all welcome! There will be many opportunities to meet and visit with other artists, as well as paint with a group and individually, should you so choose.

Plein Air Cherry Blossom Festival 2016

Description:

An exciting new event, Plein-Air Challenge, will take place on the opening day of Sakura Days Japan Fair on Saturday April 9th providing participants with an opportunity to interpret the activities of the Festival. Just three hours after being painted, sketches, watercolour, acrylic, oils and mixed media will be accepted for jury. The jury will be comprised of 3 prominent plein-air artists who are members of the Federation of Canadian Artists: Tatjana Mirkov-Popovicki, Bob McMurray, and Perry Haddock.

Opus Art Supplies will be providing prizes to the top 3 winners totaling a value of $350!

Dates: Separated registration required but each allows you to participate in the plein air challenge on the 11th

Plein Air Workshop in Nakusp with Brigitte Desbois

Welcome to the Plein Air Workshop in Nakusp!

Learn to capture the important elements of a landscape in short period of time with plein air painting techniques. Create paintings with impact by focusing on concept and design.

Demonstrations will be in oil but the course is suitable for all mediums and levels

Paint the Peninsula 2016

Date: August 21 – 28, 2016

Location: Olympic Peninisula, Port Angeles, Washington State

Application Fee: $40

Description:

Paint the Peninsula is an international plein air juried competition held August 21 – 28, 2016 on the beautiful Olympic Peninisula. It is being hosted by the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center in Port Angeles, Washington, gateway to Olympic National Park.  Now in its fourth year, artists and collectors alike are raving about this ultimate Pacific Northwest experience.  Registration is $40.

James Middleton Workshop 2016

Date: July 18 – July 22, August 15 – August 19, September 12 – September 16, 2016
