Membership is Now Open

Membership has come to PleinAirBC with the idea behind it to foster enough members to build up to one or two large paint outs per year. We are also hoping to create a community and network of plein air painters throughout British Columbia and abroad.

There are two different levels of yearly membership, both at a very economical fee of $10/year or $15/year.

Both will get you a membership listing page with a gallery and biography with links to your own home page and social media account. The premium Membership will get you more gallery space, highlight in our home page slider and promotion on our Facebook page.

Description:

As artists we all want to think outside the box, which is good, however, if you don’t understand what’s in the box itself then it’s hard to be outside of it. In this three-day workshop we will work through the importance of a dynamic composition, strong value scheme, driving depth with aerial perspective, the use of edges and forceful colour. Capitalizing on these ideas we will then take a look at how to utilize them to free our creativity and compose compelling paintings.

Fresh Look & New Subscriber System

PleinAirBC.com has a fresh new look with some much needed back end improvements that will make it easier to grow.

One of the key improvements is to the subscriber system. News will be sent out much more efficiently to all of you that are subscribed, thus keeping everyone who loves plein air painting more informed on what is happening in BC and hopefully, your area.

As you may have noticed, we have also started posting events and workshops out of BC for those that are interested in destination painting. These and local events/workshops are listed on the Events Page.

If you are in need of where to paint, we will be updating our ‘Painting Locations” list throughout the summer as we explore various areas. If you have a favourite spot and would like to share it please send us an email.
