More Information:

The Federation of Canadian Artists’ Plein-Air Retreat is back for 2018! Enjoy four full days of plein-air painting in the beautiful E.C. Manning Provincial Park, located in the heart of the Cascade Mountains. You will have the opportunity to learn from world-renowned instructors, share experiences in incredible locations, and connect with like-minded individuals over their passion for art.

E.C. Manning Park is situated within easy, scenic driving distance from both Metro Vancouver and the Okanagan. The 70,000 hectar Provincial Park represents the transition zone between coastal rainforest and semi-arid desert, acting as home to soaring cedars, snow-capped mountains, alpine lakes, meadows, a huge variety of bird and animal species, and stunning, diverse flora and fauna. The historic, scenic and accessible diversity in the park are prime factors that make Manning Park a favourite setting for many professional artists.

This year’s package includes:

  • 4 full days for plein-air painting with four renowned instructors
  • Painting demonstrations by FCA Signature artists
  • Social events
  • Accommodation
  • Outdoor activities

Resort amenities including heated swimming pool, hot tubs, sauna, steam room and exercise room
and much more

A variety of accommodations are available to meet the needs of all guests, ranging from hostel-style, to private cabins, to hotel suites.

This is a chance to escape from the rest of the world for a week where all you have to think about is Plein Air painting, snow-capped mountains and grassy meadows, and chats and laughs with fellow Plein Air enthusiasts next to a fire pit.

It’s is an opportunity for artists to learn from some of the best in the field, to really work their craft in a relaxing, supportive, and inspiring environment, and truly grow as an artist.

It’s bound to be a valuable and rewarding experience.
