Painting ‘en plein air’ is the best way to record your observations in any environment.
Date: July 13 & 14, 2021
Time: 10am – 4pm daily
Location: North Shore Locations
In this two day workshop I will guide you through simple steps to making a good painting – from choosing your subject – to editing and creating a solid composition – to executing the actual work. There will be an emphasis on simple design ideas, colour mixing with a limited palette & the importance of keeping a sense of humour in the field.
You will spend each day on location making small studies while recording the magic of your surroundings. There will be plenty of one on one instruction with time for positive and encouraging conversation.
This workshop is designed for the experienced beginner & intermediate painter. Oils are the medium of choice for this course, but water soluble oils and acrylics are welcome.
