Date: July 10 – 13, 2014
Location: Langley, BC
Costs: $110 to $585
For a fraction of the cost to paint with an instructor oversees, you can enjoy painting local landscapes on a beautiful retreat just outside of Fort Langley with this Vancouver artist workshop!
The retreat includes:
six hours of instruction per day
individual attention throughout the day
three nights accommodation (full retreat only)
lunches provided (full retreat only)
The focus will be on plein air painting. If the weather doesn’t permit plein air painting we have access to a spacious indoor painting space.
Instruction will include techniques in oil and acrylic, including composition, colour theory, tonal values, colour temperature, the importance of edges, texture, and brushwork.
Paint all day, with lunches provided (full retreat only), then enjoy an evening of relaxation with good company by the bonfire.
Wisteria Acres is in a beautiful country setting just outside Fort Langley, British Columbia, Canada, situated high on the bluffs overlooking the historic town and the mighty Fraser River. Enter the long driveway, past a cascading wall of expansive wisteria leading to the main retreat house under a canopy of old growth cedars. Horses graze in lush pastures and beautiful gardens beckon you into stillness; a place where quiet awareness and inner wisdom are fostered.
