Want to try your hand at Plein Air Painting but don’t know where to start or need guidance when it comes to painting outside?

Schedule one on one or a small group (up to four artists) of private Plein Air instruction. Just choose the date and time that suits your schedule. Registration link below.

Each session is 3 hours long and you will paint at one of Michael’s favourite spots or he can find a location close to you*.

Sessions cover how to choose what to paint, composition, what to look out for, what the best approach is, etc. Alternatively, each session can be customized towards your specific requirements and questions.

You will have total immersion at this exclusive artist’s retreat complete with indoor/outdoor pool and an art studio, in an unspoiled region of the Dordogne countryside.

This workshop will also focus on:

  • Colour mixing with a palette of warm & cool colours

There will be several demonstrations, fun exercises and plenty of one on one instruction.

Paint in your preferred medium (oils, water soluble oils or acrylics) and open yourself up to new and exciting possibilities.

This workshop is designed for beginners with some experience and all other levels of oil and acrylic painters.

We will cover notans, color harmonies, luminosity etc.. Through a series of quick sketches to a final painting we will explore concepts that are conductive to creating mood. Plenty of one on one instruction, with constructive and positive feedback. All mediums welcome.
