Welcome to the Plein Air Workshop in Nakusp!

Learn to capture the important elements of a landscape in short period of time with plein air painting techniques. Create paintings with impact by focusing on concept and design.

Demonstrations will be in oil but the course is suitable for all mediums and levels

Description:  This two day weekend workshop will provide you with the basics of drawing, colour mixing and composition. Through demonstration, handouts and group discussions you will learn techniques used by plein air painters around the world.

Explore a favourite gulf island and discover new ways to see its natural beauty while enjoying the camaraderie of painting in a group.

Landscapes in oils or acrylics: Friday evening August 14 through Sunday morning August 16th plein air retreat at beautiful Hidden Cove Lodge on Vancouver Island with award-winning Instructor Teresa Knight. $490 includes 2 nights accommodation (2 people sharing a room with en suite bathroom), breakfasts, a dinner at the lodge and all instruction. Materials can be purchased for $50 by request at time of booking. Create the painting that will be your memory of this wonderful experience!
