Biography

I have been exhibiting in the international world of pastel painting by representing Canada since 2000. It has been a thrilling endeavor with awards, interviews, magazine articles and meeting my peers.

In 2016 some friends invited me to plein air paint with them on Wednesdays throughout the year around Vancouver.  Usually I am drawing the model on Wednesdays in West Vancouver… so I decided a change was due.

With the weather & carrying the equipment it has been interesting to say the least…I tend to work large with my pastels. I do not touch them after the day on site… I am a pure pastel painter, no underpainting.

I also took the opportunity to work on black canvas with oil paint & you can see the excitement within my color choices. My landscapes are a soulful interpretation of reality.
