Paint The Peninsula

Paint the Peninsula is a new annual plein air event that will be held in Port Angeles, WA on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula between September 4 and Sept 8, 2013.
The best pieces will be juried by nationally known artist Ned Mueller into the final gala sale where collectors and museum donors will have the opportunity to preview and purchase the work. The gala will be a semi-formal evening with catered food and wine, capped by the awards presented to the top winners.
A special honor awaits best in show.

Prospectus
The event is being hosted by and for the benefit of the Port Angeles Fine Art Center (PAFAC). PAFAC is a non profit organization which hosts gallery shows and community art events throughout the year. The PAFAC gallery is located in Webster’s Woods, a five acre woodland area where over 100 sculptures and other works of art live in and peek out from the abundant foliage.

Set Up Your Own Outdoor Adventure – Private or Semi Private Plein Air Painting with Wendy Mould, AFCA
Drawing or Painting outside is fun, if you are prepared. Learn how to pack, tips and tricks for working on site and finishing up tips. My mediums of choice are watercolour, ink or graphite.
I would love to teach you how to enjoy the fun of a Plein Air adventure. We will meet for a short 1 hour Orientation Session to get your supplies in order ahead of time than set up a 5 hour day to paint. You pick the time and the day, but let’s get started soon so you can enjoy the summer and fall, outdoors.
Sessions can be booked as a private session or semi-private if you have a friend to join us.
Total cost for Individual session: $150 includes: 1 hour orientation session and then a 5 hour painting date
Total cost for Semi-private session: $100 each: includes 1.5 hour orientation session and then a 5 hour painting date. I will have some basic supplies for drawing and painting in plein air. However we will determine what supplies you need at the Orientation session.

Artists will be painting in area surrounding Ferry Building Gallery and in the ArtSpeaks tent. Painters must complete and frame a piece of art that they create outdoors.
